Biking for the Soul

A couple of week ago a group from our church met at the source of the Jordan River where it comes out of Utah Lake. There is a wonderful bike trail that begins there and actually follows the river and meanders up the Utah Valley all the way to the Great Salt Lake. We experienced beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife. Some of the favorites were the family of Sand Hill Cranes

and the most impressive was the Yellowheaded Blackbird.

Had this thought how everyone experiences a time of wilderness in their lives yet there is comfort in the knowledge of help coming from unexpected places.

I had done these as a study on masonite for a much larger (5' x 12') painting. I was debating the best presentation and decided on hanging them without frames yet raised from the wall. I'm pleased with the look.
